Meet our directors

Connected by the shared belief in the value of coaching in the education sector, Mohammad and Stephanie created CiE’s vision and are responsible for ensuring the highest professional and ethical standards are met across all our partnerships.

Founder & Director of Outreach & Partnerships

Mohammad Rawat

Mo is the Founder of Coaching in Education and is driven by a belief that every learner and leader deserves access to high-quality coaching to unlock their potential. With over 20 years’ experience in education, leadership and coaching, he has seen the transformational impact that personalised support, reflection and human connection can have on wellbeing, confidence and high performance. Mo leads on partnerships, outreach and quality assurance across schools, colleges and universities. Alongside this, he serves as a governor for schools across primary, secondary and further education and is also a trustee of a charity which supports education, mentoring and community development initiatives for girls and women.

Stephanie Carlin

As a director at CiE Stephanie’s vision is to create personal and professional development that cultivates resilience, celebrates strengths, and navigates challenges to empower you to lead with confidence. Stephanie’s first hand experience of the power and influence of coaching inspires her work and the mission of Coaching in Education to increase access to high quality coaching for all the learners and leaders within education. Her expertise lies in the range of communication tools that can be used for individuals and teams. She serves as a primary school governor, and has supported coaching initiatives in a number of charities which inspire our outreach offer.

Our coaching team is a vital asset, they are highly trained to deliver high standards, consistent quality and safeguarding across all programmes.

Imtiaz Patel

Imtiaz brings 20 years’ experience in inner-city education, including senior leadership and headship roles. He now works as a consultant, school improvement lead, and leadership coach, and serves as Vice Chair of Governors, supporting schools to improve outcomes and opportunities

Arafat Q. Hingora

Arafat is a headteacher and company director with significant coaching experience, specialising in leadership, organisational change, and inclusive practice. His focus area is delivering training and supporting individuals and organisations, particularly in inclusivity and neurodiversity.

Mariam Rawat

Mariam is a specialist leadership coach in primary and international education, with over 20 years’ experience as a teacher and leader. As part of the Associate Coaching Team, her holistic approach empowers learners and leaders to realise their potential, navigate challenges, and enhance wellbeing.

David Brown

As an executive coach who focuses on personal sustainability, David supports resilient, effective leaders under pressure, he has over 15 years teaching experience in primary and secondary settings. David is a Licensed TIFF © provider and Functional Fluency specialist, enabling leaders and learners to become more self-aware and effective communicators.

Ebrahim Rawat

Ebrahim is a senior education leader and digital learning specialist with experience across education and technology. As an associate coach, he supports emerging leaders through a solution-focused approach that turns reflection into purposeful action.

Isaac Marlowe

As an executive coach and company director with over 15 years of educational leadership experience, Isaac supports individuals and teams to build resilience and lead effectively under pressure. Isaac specialises in supporting schools and trusts with strategic leadership, and learner development especially in relation to behaviour and safeguarding.

Safeguarding & Ethics

All Coaching in Education coaches are accredited and operate within the International Coaching Federation's Code of Ethics, they are supported through supervision, CPD, quality assurance and safeguarding oversight.

Safeguarding and wellbeing

Safeguarding and wellbeing is very important to us, Stephanie is a Mental Health First Aider and Suicide Prevention Trainer.
