Learners

Confident – Independent – Career Ready

Our Learner programmes support students via a holistic approach no matter the age or stage of their education. This enables us to meet each individual learner's needs, whether academic, personal, or professional. Our education-experienced coaches use a non-directive approach to encourage learners to find their own motivations and solutions.

Learner wellbeing

Learner coaching programmes

LEARN peer coaching programme

The LEARN coaching programme enables peers to support each other through the development of coaching skills.

LEARN

Listen, Enquire, Actions, Reflection, Now

Who it is for

  • Learners aged 14 and over

Coach Training - Learners are given an introduction to the fundamentals of coaching, grounded in models inspired by the work of experts such as Sir John Whitmore, Julie Starr and Nancy Kline. All coach training is delivered by professional coaches, and learners receive the opportunity to practice in supervised sessions before supporting younger students and peers.

Peer coaching - Takes place between the coach and coachee over a term - school year basis. Flexibility within the programme means that coaches can support their coachee on a range of topics from academic studies, to building confidence and personal development.

IN MOTION

The 14-18 programme follows the academic calendar to enhance learners' self-development. Learners are encouraged to find their own motivations and solutions.

Who it is for

Learners in or approaching key transition years which include:

  • A Level
  • T Level
  • BTEC
  • Apprenticeship
  • University application process

The In Motion programme supports learners to complete their exam and transition years with increased confidence and clarity.

The In Motion programme is a holistic, learner-centred approach that supports them to build skills for life, not just exams. Sessions are non-directive which gives the students the opportunity to focus on the topics which are relevant to them.

Learners meet with their coaches between 4 and 8 times across the academic year; organisations can opt for four individual and two group sessions if they feel that will benefit the cohort of learners involved. Flexibility within the programme means topics can be revisited or focused in on to ensure learners needs are met. Learners will complete personal action plans and reflection journals to support their development through the programme.

MOMENTUM

The Momentum programme supports learners through their university career to enhance learners' experience and ensure they maximise their university opportunities. Learners are encouraged to find their own motivations and solutions.

Who it is for

  • Maximise their time and opportunities at University
  • Increase their engagement with their course
  • The Momentum programme aims to further support university students who study from abroad, or who are first generation university attenders.
  • Adapt to life away from home including their identity and sense of belonging.

Coaching provision is also suitable for supporting, study abroad and international students, students who are the first in their family to go to university and students with protected characteristics in line with university EDI policy.

The Momentum programme supports learners to navigate the demands of university life, from academia, social demands, career and leadership opportunities.

Learners will meet with their coaches three times per term. Sessions are non-directive which gives the students the opportunity to focus on the topics which are relevant to them. Coaches utilise the Resilient Leaders Elements (RLE) and Functional Fluency (FF) to support the learner within the session and help them build adaptable skills for university and beyond.

ACCELERATE

The Accelerate programme supports learners to manage the demands of their final study year alongside making the decisions for the next steps, either academically or into the workplace. Learners are encouraged to find their own motivations and solutions.
